Annual Fall 2012 Conference
Initial details for the Annual EAPSU Fall 2012 Conference have been announced.
Annual Spring 2012 Conference
The Spring 2012 undergraduate conference was hosted by Kutztown University of Pennsylvania on April 7, 2012.
Dr. Arnold Newman, retired, of Kutztown University, passed away on Oct. 18, 2011. Arnold was a founding member of EAPSU, had served in every office in the organization, and received the EAPSU Distinguished Service Award. EAPSU remembers his twenty years of service, his leadership, and his great kindness. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that contributions be made in Arnold’s name to St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, P. O. Box 368, Trexlertown, PA or the Kutztown University Foundation, P. O. Box 151, Kutztown, PA 19530.
"Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then you shall truly dance."
~ Khalil Gibran

EAPSU has been in existence since 1980 as an organization dedicated to excellence in English studies, and we have prided ourselves in being inclusive. Our conferences showcase the best in many disciplines within English Studies: composition, creative writing,, literature, film, technical/scientific writing, and, of course, pedagogy.
EAPSU sponsors an annual Fall Conference for faculty and an annual Spring Conference for undergraduate English majors.
In 2004, EAPSU established a peer-reviewed online journal to supplement our conference and its proceedings. We wanted to continue our practice of allowing many voices to be heard at our conferences while enabling a more exclusive, competitive venue for scholarly and creative work.
We have received manuscripts from all over the world and have published a variety of material that might not have an audience without us. Each submission goes through a blind review process and is sent to two readers initially for input; marginal works are asked to resubmit with revision.
